Due to an injury, Sherry Yang was only able to compete on bars in her freshman year. She was a consistent part of the line-up, participating in all but one meet. She earned an ECAC Coaches' Award midway through the season for her excellent barwork. Yang's best performance was at Towson, where she scored a 9.675.
Yang joined the Bulldogs from Capital Gymnastics National Training Center. As a level 10, she was a six-time State and Region VII Championships qualifier. In 2007, she placed 4th in the all-around and qualified to the Level 10 Junior Olympic Nationals, where she placed 14th in the all-around. She also helped her Region VII team to a 3rd place finish. Yang graduated from Winston Churchill High School.
